Circus break – Eclore
An aerial acrobatics performance featuring two acrobats performing as a duo on aerial silks. Singing blends with the thrill of the acrobatics.
Two women on stage, at times so fused together that they seem like a phantom, a hybrid, a woman-bird or a creature with multiple limbs. Then comes the separation, or the letting go of identity. Whether it involves letting go of oneself or letting go of the other; in both cases, there is grief to be processed, and we must become aware of our relationships with others and the care we invest in them.
Through existential questions, “Las birdies” attempts, in a light-hearted manner, with a healthy dose of absurdity and sometimes a touch of humour, to address themes such as attachment, separation and mutual support via a discipline that evokes a strong sense of empathy in the audience. Hair acrobatics is a very powerful discipline for sharing intense emotions. It allows you to explore parts of yourself, both as an audience member and as a performer, in an intimate way.
