Every Sunday from 7pm, Compositrix takes over the Vaux Hall and showcases the works of numerous female composers from past and present.
This Sunday, Maiko Inoué (solo piano) will perform “Melodies of the Shadows: from Clara Schumann to Madeleine Dring”, a programme of intimate works by Fanny Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, Amy Beach, Mel Bonis, Mélanie Chasselon, Cécile Chaminade and Madeleine Dring. During the concert, poems from their era will be read.

With a passion for chamber music, Maiko Inoue devotes most of her time to ensemble playing. This is why she founded the Trio Mistral in 2002. She is also a member of the Ensemble Cosmopolitan with Camille Babut Du Mares, the Duo Ima with Veerle Houbraken, and the Duo Nanama with Emmanuelle Maggesi. Whether performing in chamber music ensembles or as a soloist, she is a regular guest at various festivals and concerts across Europe and Japan.
