Over four Thursdays in June and July, Musique d’Ascenseur takes over the Vaux Hall and invites you to immerse yourself in the heart of Brussels’ local music scene, which is as talented as it is eclectic.

Discover a different sound palette every week, and a new opportunity to discover and meet the musicians who shape the city’s vibrant musical landscape. The evening consists of a live concert and a DJ set, all in the open air, in the beautiful 18th-century courtyard of Vaux-Hall. Come and whet your curiosity, let the early summer sun caress your skin, share a refreshing drink with friends and enjoy the hidden sounds that this city’s underground music scene has to offer.

Artists

Felicette & Floridada
Two key figures on the Brussels underground scene have joined forces to explore the music they love. Floridada, founder of the local label and collective Toverberg, and Félicette, whose musical world oscillates between the intimacy of singer-songwriting and electronic experimentation, will exchange and share their selections for an evening that moves freely between folk, local discoveries and electronic music.
Mek'Dr'Dr
Mek'Dr'Dr is a Brussels-based post-punk duo comprising Mien Heyvaert and Sara De Wit, where groovy basslines and chaotic rhythms form the key ingredients of a minimalist post-punk sound. With a playful approach, they explore themes such as the ugliness of Flemish urban sprawl and social norms. Inspired by artists such as The Slits and Young Marble Giants, their live performances are synonymous with chaos and surprises: it’s impossible to stand still.
