MUTAMORPHOSIS is a long-term project exploring contemporary forms of hybridity. Conceived as an evolving process of research and performance, each edition explores the transformations of bodies, identities and shared spaces.

Presented as part of Various Voices, this new edition showcases queer artists through works that blend performance, music and experimental sound. MUTAMORPHOSIS explores the physical, social, cultural and political shifts that are redefining the ways in which we relate to one another, whilst imagining new forms of dialogue and solidarity. Through a performance that blends personal memory and documentary fiction, Victor Abraham Lacô revisits the imagery associated with bullfighting and Catalan cultural heritage from a queer perspective, where personal narratives become spaces for reappropriation and transformation. Hot Bodies presents a musical and performative project at the crossroads of pop, club music and collective experience. Combining electronic textures, vulnerability and dancefloor energy, his practice views music as a space for the circulation of emotions and desires. With her hybrid sets blending hard house, breakbeat, guaracha and Latin influences, Vera Moro transforms the dancefloor into a space for connection, emancipation and collective celebration. Rooted in stories of circulation, transmission and resilience, MUTAMORPHOSIS views sound and space as active zones of metamorphosis. By making visible the fluid nature of a changing society, the project seeks to create spaces for imagination, reflection and encounter, where hybridity becomes a way of being together.

Portrait de Victor Abraham Laco
Victor Abraham Lacô
Victor Abraham Lacô is a queer artist, architect and performer whose practice explores issues of gender, masculinities, eroticism and romanticism, as well as the connections between bodies, spaces and sexualities. Trained in architecture in Lyon and Brussels and in gender studies at UC Louvain, they develop a transdisciplinary body of work blending performance, poetry, ritual and personal memory. Their performance Queer Tauromachie: Inside the Rhizome Roots of Catalunya takes the form of a performative ritual that blends documentary fiction with a queer ceremony. Drawing on their Catalan roots, Victor Abraham Lacô draws upon family archives, personal ghosts, desire, exile and silent legacies. Through song, embodiment and symbolic gestures, they transform bullfighting into a space of queer reappropriation, where vanished figures are reborn and the margins become a celebration.
Portrait de Hot Bodies
Hot Bodies
Hot Bodies is the stage name of Gérald Arev Kurdian – a musician, performer, versatile DJ and Mother of Ceremony for the Hot Bodies Club and Hot Bodies Choirs projects. Rooted in collective experience, Hot Bodies conceives of pop music as a sensory communion, a space where emotions, desires and trance flow freely. Navigating between collective club rituals and minimalist songwriting, Hot Bodies embraces pop in its broadest sense — popular, porous and transformative. Their sound draws as much from synthetic textures as from melodic intimacy, crafting songs that are at once fragile and euphoric, intimate and unifying. Her latest EP, Digital Fairy / Folk Songs, produced by Don Turi (Jeanne Added, Chien Noir), oscillates between chiaroscuro coldwave and luminous pop melodies – a contemporary tale for club kids and outsiders. On stage, Hot Bodies delivers an embodied, magnetic and sexy performance, in a state of perpetual metamorphosis. Her concerts blur the boundaries between live performance and the dancefloor, inviting the audience into a mutating pop universe where vulnerability becomes a strength and collective emotion the driving force.
Portrait de Vera Moro
Vera Moro
Vera Moro is a queer DJ and performer whose hybrid sets transcend genres and borders. Born in Verona, she spent time in Chile before settling in Brussels, where she has forged a multifaceted sonic identity, drawing on hard house, breakbeat, guaracha, hardgroove and Latin influences. Through her performances, Vera Moro creates intense, immersive experiences where rhythms become vehicles for emancipation. Her practice is rooted in a desire to decolonise musical imaginaries and create free and powerful spaces for queer expression. An active figure on the Brussels scene and a resident at the Queer Future Club, she collaborates with numerous initiatives across Europe. On stage, her sets embody a collective, inclusive and radical energy, transforming the dancefloor into a space of connection, freedom and celebration.
