Nina Wu left everything behind to move to Taipei in the hope of pursuing a career as an actress. But so far, she has only appeared in a few adverts. One day, her agent suggests she audition for the lead role in a spy film. Despite her reluctance upon reading the nude and sex scenes, Nina goes to the audition.

Co-written by Wu Ke-xi, who plays the lead role, Nina Wu explores the systemic violence of the film industry through the eyes of an actress, denouncing the exploitation of women’s bodies and the psychological pressure exerted on them. Please note that during this second screening of our Taiwanese trilogy, certain scenes may be disturbing to some viewers.
