Cinéma Galeries

Located in the heart of Brussels, the Cinema Galeries offers an original and diverse programme ranging from the latest arthouse releases to retrospectives of the greatest independent filmmakers.

Every year, the Cinéma Galeries presents a selection of films screened in the leafy setting of the Vaux Hall Summer. This year, the programme has a feminist theme, starting with the very Belgian documentary Bande d’Hystériques ! by Kita Bauchet and concluding with a trilogy of Taiwanese films — Taipei being the festival’s city of focus for L’Heure d’Été 2026 — in which female characters are at the heart of stories of resistance, desire and emancipation, navigating between social constraints and the assertion of their freedom.
