Compositrix

Compositrix is an association that promotes the work of numerous female composers from the past and present.

Compositrix was founded in Brussels in September 2024 and grew out of a collective formed in late 2022. The association is committed to raising the profile of female composers and securing recognition of their place in the music world. One of the non-profit organisation’s activities is the organisation of the Musique Femmes festival, the fourth edition of which will take place from 15 to 18 October 2026.
