Créahmbxl
Créahmbxl (Creation and Intellectual Disability) is an artistic experimentation laboratory based in Brussels, offering visual and performing arts workshops to people with intellectual disabilities.
At Créahmbxl, participants develop their own creative practice in an atmosphere that combines freedom and learning. Supported by artist-facilitators, they explore and enrich their personal artistic worlds. Through these visual and performing arts workshops, Créahmbxl fosters the creation of unique artistic worlds, guided by professional artists.
A place of freedom and exploration, Créahmbxl supports the creation, dissemination and recognition of the works produced by strengthening collaborations with cultural institutions in Belgium and beyond. It is part of an approach based on openness and awareness-raising, contributing to the promotion of outsider art within the contemporary art scene and to reflection on difference as a creative force.
