Eugenia Ramírez Miori
Eugenia, trained as an actress, dancer and choreographer, settled in Brussels in 2002. Her career has developed in theatre and film as well as in the world of tango. She has been fortunate to build an international career, particularly at film and tango festivals. In Brussels, she has played leading roles in various feature films and writes and directs plays, notably for the OPRL. She has been teaching dance and training teachers for over 30 years. Driven by her passion for teaching, she founded Nosotros Tango, now one of Belgium’s most renowned schools.
Mariano Galeano
As a dancer, choreographer and teacher of Argentine tango, he has developed a unique, personal and versatile style over the years, which is appreciated by a wide audience. He switches effortlessly between the most classical and elegant salon style and modern tango performances on stage, rich in contrasts, speed and energy, underpinned by outstanding technique. He is recognised worldwide as one of the most inspiring Argentine dancers of his generation. His school in Belgium is MG Tango.
Andrés Surra
Andrés is from Uruguay and is a dancer who trained in the late 1990s, during the great revival of tango in Europe. Since 2004, he has organised the Tango Bar in Brussels, where he teaches, as well as at numerous other venues across Europe. He has danced in various performances and contributed to the choreography (Terra Tango, Tango vs Hip-hop). As a great lover of improvisation, with a highly rhythmic, musical and creative approach, he has developed a dance style characterised by complex steps, expressive movements and the joy of sharing.
Iris Mukeshimana
An up-and-coming artist of Rwandan origin, driven by her passion for dance, she has made it her profession. With the non-profit organisation Cycloceza, she works to build bridges between able-bodied people and those with disabilities. Her aim is to raise awareness among a wide audience and reach as many people as possible. Her tenacity and passion have already taken her a long way, even onto television.
Marie à la Folie
This Belgian artist loves to tell stories through dance, in which the pole alternately becomes a symbolic object or an imaginary partner. In addition to technical mastery, she strives above all to evoke emotion through her characters and takes great pleasure in surprising and playing with the audience’s expectations.
Pato Lorente
Pato Lorente learnt to play the bandoneon with Alfredo Marcucci and toured throughout Europe with his mentor for almost twenty years. He is trained in classical composition and jazz harmony and now teaches bandoneon and tango dance music at Belgian music schools. He is the founder and driving force behind Tango 02.
